The series will be shot in Bogota and will feature images from Mediapro’s Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP) in Spain. The show will kick off production in April and will debut regionally before the end of the year on Nickelodeon Latin America.
“Mediapro’s experience in the eSports industry, along with the series innovative storyline, engaging characters and on trend gaming theme is certain to have an impact on Nickelodeon’s audience in the region while creating new fans,” said Tatiana Rodríguez, SVP, kids & family group, Nickelodeon Latin America.
As for the local agreement in Brazil, free-to-air (FTA) television network TV CULTURA has signed a deal to extend its partnership with Nickelodeon for a number of its Nick Jr animations including series one of Rusty Rivets and Nella the Princess Knight, both of which will launch this month on the channel.
In Mexico, national FTA broadcaster Imagen has acquired a raft of Nick Jr content to fill its weekend kids’ slot. The agreement incorporates series one of Shimmer and Shine, Team Umizoomi, Dora and Friends and Bubble Guppies.
